Community Rehabilitation: Beyond homes, the program aims to reconstruct entire communities. This includes restoring critical services including water supply, sanitation, healthcare, and educational facilities.

Economic Empowerment: SPHF also seeks to revitalise local economies by generating work opportunities throughout the construction phase and assisting small enterprises and agricultural activities after the inhabitants have been resettled.

Environmental Sustainability: Green building practices and fostering environmental awareness among people are essential components. This ensures that the new settlements are both resilient and sustainable in the long run.

Since its inception, the SPHF has made significant strides in transforming the lives of flood-affected communities. Some of the notable achievements include:

Construction of Thousands of Homes: The effort has successfully built thousands of homes, providing shelter for countless people who have lost everything. Each housing has basic facilities and is intended to withstand flooding.

Infrastructure Development: Roads, bridges, schools, and healthcare facilities have been built or rebuilt, ensuring that people have access to basic services and can rebuild their lives in dignity.

Community Involvement: One of the most distinguishing elements of SPHF is the active participation of affected communities in the planning and implementation process.
